When the train tracks stopped being Christmas presents and LEGOS entered the picture for our young boys, I had to have a CUTE way to store them.

Because have you EVER stepped on a Lego in the middle of the night?!?!

Seriously.

I searched Pinterest and Instagram and kept brainstorming and kept brainstorming and all of a sudden, I had an idea.

Baskets.

Cute, functional baskets. So when I found these for $2.50 (they were 50% off at Michael’s!), I was sold.

And.it.is.so.helpful.

I debated painting the edges of the baskets but once I sat down to sort some, I realized I could not see what basket what color went in so I texted one of my DIY friends and she agreed: if color would help them stay organized, absolutely paint the edge.

These have been so great because they pick up the entire basket when they want to build something and sit on the floor with it.

They even woke up this morning and went straight into the playroom to finished what they started the night before.

And I don’t know about you, but I am always amazed at what they can come up with together! The creativity, the ingenuity, the designs that fill their minds BLOWS ME AWAY (and I don’t know what that is on the table right now. I did not stage this at all! I just left the Legos as is!).

What do you think? What ideas do you have for storage? Do you have somewhere to hang a basket or two? Or pin it for later!
