Our sweet friends, Blake and Amanda, are having a baby! The coolest fact about her pregnancy, though, is that they don’t know what they are having! It’s actually going to be a surprise! I’m jealous but the planner part of me is not sure I could handle not knowing….especially knowing I bought a chandelier in case I was having a girl….and it’s another boy for the Tysls! Anyway, they are so precious and we wanted to do something for them that was gender neutral/vintage/fun! A group of us got together and this is what we came up with for them!
Lots of our ideas were found on Pinterest but our true inspiration was this Cute as a Button themed shower from Project Nursery.
Warning…this post is picture heavy so if you have questions, just ask! We made a ton of the stuff you will see and Heather had many items from her sister’s outdoor wedding in the fall. The DIYer in me just looked at hundreds of pictures and put things together. All you will need for a shower like this is lots of burlap, lots of twine, and lots of time (no, it really wasn’t that time consuming…just start in advance…it was so much fun to see it come together!). Let us know what you think!
(We did pink and aqua koozies as favors because those are the colors Amanda will use as accent colors depending on the gender! Needless to say, everyone chose the color of what his/her prediction was!
Here are all the girls and boys!
And the beautiful, happy parents! Congratulations! Hope you had as much fun as we did!

Amber, you did an awesome job! Everything was “cute as a button”! We had a great time and appreciate everything you did for the shower!
Love the ideas for Baby Tysl’s room. Very similar to the patterns and some of the colors we are using!
