Good morning!
I’m so glad you’re here this morning and hope this inspires you to add a little color to your home, too! As you know, we have worked tirelessly to bring our foreclosure up to date!
One of the biggest transformations in our home was most definitely our kitchen.
However, you also know from previous pictures that we have NOT been able to find bar stools.
So when Wayfair asked if I wanted to add a pop of color to our home, I immediately thought of bar stools!
Even better, the bar stools I loved came with a set of TWO for $144!
Now, I know you’re thinking, you spent that much!?!! But let me tell you, we have looked and looked! We thought we found a great deal on one from a thirft store…until it broke. We also had very specific needs in bar stools.
No fabric–can’t keep it clean.
Very sturdy–little boys climb!
Easy to wipe off–so basically, very little upkeep! We wanted these to add to the comfort of our home, not take away from it.
So, yes, this is one item we saved to splurge on! As much wear as they will get it, it was worth it to us to spend a little bit more! Our boys LOVE to climb up and sit on them and I can just see much homework being done later in life! Although, with our little surprise, it looks like I’ll be buying another one!
Now, for the pop of color! You KNOW how much I love white but even I know I needed some color!
I tossed around so many different colors from pink to yellow until I had to ask my husband what he thought.
Together, we decided on a navyish blue. And y’all, I struggled with this because I really really liked the bar stools just like they were! BUT, after spending $3.50 at a thrift store for some blue accent pieces and grabbing a sample of blue paint, it wasn’t that bad at all!
And I think I really like the extra layer it adds in our kitchen!
What do you think? Where can you step out of your comfort zone a little?
I was compensated with a $100 gift card from Wayfair. All opinions are my own. See my disclosure for more information.

Yes! The “pop” of navy blue is just the right touch! I really like how you have incorporated a few shades of navy with the white/turquoise look! Looks really, really good!
Thank you so much, Michelyn!!!
