Hey hey!
Happy Friday! Can you believe it’s Friday and ALMOST the end of July!?! We are still going strong with outdoor projects but none are quite “ready” to share. I will have one next week so keep an eye out!
Today, I’m so excited (of course) about this ottoman my parents gave us years ago, that we gave to a friend, they got a new one and now it’s back to us! I LOVED our coffee table but if you follow me on Instagram, you KNOW how rough my boys are….needless to say, I needed to get those four corners out of there before someone got stitches!
This is what we started with:
Wow, okay, so maybe I need to vacuum…
Anyway, I took some rope (not as thick as what we hung our bed swing with) and literally hot glued it in circles around the base. It took about three packs of rope and about ten hot glue sticks!
Next, or actually maybe I did this first, I switched the feet on it. I spray painted them white (surprise) and screwed them right in to where the other legs were.
And of course when I finished, I could NOT find the vinyl fabric I wanted to use. It was the same fabric we covered our dining room chairs in because I wanted it to be WIPEABLE (is that a word) and not have to stress about anything staining it!
FINALLY, weeks later, Russ found it for me! I was thrilled! With my friend’s staple gun I covered it as quickly as I could and it’s perfect for what we need!
Happy weekend, friends! See you next week!

This ottoman came out amazing! You did such a great job!
Thank you so much, Julie!!!
I really love this! It turned out great and the rope gives it such a unique look!!
Thank you so much, Benita!
