GOOD MORNING, friends!! Can you believe it’s the first day of fall? I have to admit. I love summer. I mean…absolutely cannot wait each year for summer. But this year, I am ready for fall nights! Maybe it’s the leggings and sweaters I’m really ready for…;)

Today, I am BESIDE myself excited to be a part of Lindsay’s tour! Her inspiring blog, The White Buffalo Styling Co. is FULL of so much goodness! She’s the host of this incredible tour (so make sure you start there!) and has put together a pretty darn amazing group of bloggers. I’m still trying to figure out how I factor into this equation with our simplicity!

If you’re here from Hammer and Heels blog, aren’t you just blown away? Another beautiful tour!

If you’re new to Restless Arrow, welcome!! You may want to read about our crazy foreclosure journey. I still cannot believe I get to live here and now, that I am living my dream as a stay at home mom it makes it that much more surreal.

Needless to say, being at home with my two boys does not afford a lot of home decor that I can change too much! We live here. And I mean, we truly live here.

So, hopefully, you’ll leave a little inspired and know that you, too, can do this on a budget!

Welcome!!! (P.S. If you love my necklace as much as I do, go check out Beige and Barn (y’all, I used to COACH this girl! She is crazy talented!)

One thing that absolutely sold me on this home was that you can see our staircase when you walk in. It just feels traditional and like you’re at home.

On this door, I just hung a simple grapevine wreath where I normally hang my Christmas wreath. Very, very simple.

When you enter our home, our living room is immediately to your right.

IMG_6825It’s pretty open to the dining room and our kitchen so we try to tie everything together with soothing whites, grays, blues and greens. I don’t tend to decorate heavily for fall. You’ll notice some cozy blankets, a few thrifted and/or spray painted pumpkins, and some fall flowers.

Our dream for this home is that should anyone walk through that door, they immediately feel comfortable. I truly want people to walk in and want to sit on the couch and stay a while. You can read more about our vision here and why we chose these couches.

Let me tell you about all of my flowers that helped it most feel like fall! Y’all! They were free!! Our church had an event last week and after church Wednesday night, they were about to throw them away! I couldn’t run back to church fast enough!

The gardenias are courtesy of my mother-in-law and I absolutely LOVE how they make our house smell!

Since our TV is over the mantle, I tend to decorate this little dresser. Using the top of an electrical spool, I painted this pretend clock. I would like to order a clock kit to make it actually work!IMG_6646

In our dining room, the simplicity continues. Our dining room is filled with mostly thrifted furniture and pieces to fill our china cabinet.

I painted stripes on our table a few months ago and since we eat most every meal here, I chose not to set the table yet! Simple apples fill this little planter I found at Target this spring (and yes, it was full but two little boys I know kept sneaking apples as snacks!)!

That theme continues into our kitchen with thrifted items filling our open shelves. (You can read all about our kitchen makeover and how we did it for almost $5,000!) And more free flowers filling up my counters! (I’m not gonna lie..I’m pretty excited about the flowers I stuffed into this thrifted basket!)

They perfectly speak fall without spending a dime!
