She’s one year old.

And her nursery is finally “finished.”

Except not really because two days ago, she knocked a frame off the wall while I was changing her diaper and it broke. So there’s that. (beautiful wallpaper from here)

But I love where it has come and watching our house become a home where our kids want to stay all day and get more excited than anything else when we have nothing to do but stay home all day.

I love the shiplap and the simple wallpaper.

I love the mirror that was my grandmother’s over the mantle.

And I love that each grandmother and great-grandmother is pictured in her room (especially her namesakes).

I love that she loves to play here and I love these little houses her grandmother picked up for her.

I love that my mom saved the dress I came home from the hospital in so that she, too, could wear it home.

I love that we pray over her here and thank God for each day we are able to spend with her. I love that this song over her bed was what spoke to me most clearly when we took the leap of faith, resigned from my teaching job, then found out we were expecting a little girl.

I love the joy she adds to our family and the happiness she brings her daddy and her brothers.

I love how surprised I am daily by how much I absolutely adore her.

we were delighted to share with you
not only the gospel of God
but our lives as well.” 1 Thess. 2:8
Because this reminder, every single day, of how much I love my kiddos hints ever so slightly from our Father, this is not even close to how much I love you.
Save these ideas for later…
