Good morning!
Thank you for your kind words on our short Christmas tour last week. I PROMISE I have a HUGE post coming for you and cannot wait for you to see it.
Today, I am honored to be joining my long time blogging friend, Krista, from The Happy Housie. Her use of color NEVER ceases to amaze me!!
Our table is very, very simple. With three young kiddos, it’s not realistic for me to have a set table so this year I decided to show you how pretty stacked plates can be! I see bloggers do it all the time and I wanted to share it with you.
I used our Christmas dishes that I purchased years ago from Target. My best friend had some like them and I obsessed over them for years and slowly bought my own!
This little gold silverware is actually PLASTIC! I used it for Callie’s birthday (we just invite family over) “party” and they were perfect. With a thrift store napkin, twig from our garland, and twine, I love the way it turned out.
For the centerpiece, I needed a few more candleholders so we made a drop off at Goodwill and I ran in and found a few more candleholders (for 79 cents!) and picked up these glasses for 89 cents while I was there.
Using my grandmother’s neighbor’s eucalyptus, I put it on top of a fence post my mom picked up for me and I love the mix of rustic with crystal and thrift store glass!
If you’ve been following for a while, you know we love to gather around this table.
Whether it’s the basketball team, friends stopping by, or Christmas morning breakfast, it is never lost on me the significance of what it represents
From a thrifted table my grandmother brought me to my mom and dad’s china cabinet to a friend’s borrowed tree, this dining room symbolizes our life–it takes a village to do it all and I will be forever grateful for all that surround me and pour into our family.
Happy Tuesday, friends. I am so grateful for you.
Be sure to stop by to see the beautiful tablescapes today for endless Christmas inspiration.

This is lovely. I can definitely relate to not being able to have a set table all the time? We basically used our set table once and then it went back to just a centerpiece. That table is a workhorse. It really does look lovely with the stacked plates- and would be great for entertaining, too.
Yes! So true!! So hard to keep it up!
stunning, just stunning! the crystal mixed with the wood and greenery is a beautiful touch! such a welcoming space!
Thank you, Julie! That means so much!

So beautiful, Amber! Your use of white always amazes me!! I love how bright and light and airy your home always feels – and the natural, simple styling of your table is perfect. It leaves so much room for the people in the story, and I love that about your style!
Thank you, Krista!! That means the world to me!! And I feel the same way about your use of color! Amazed!
