A couple of years ago, I blogged about my mom’s idea for wrapping paper. I’ve been meaning to do it again for the past two years so when Krista mentioned the gift wrap blog hop, I jumped right in!
This is one of my favorite traditions because it holds so much meaning.
My mom always used the brown craft paper but on Instagram, one of my favorite people to follow, Michelle, from Iron and Twine used white kraft paper and a light bulb went off!
I did not use brown last year because it didn’t quite “match” so the white is fun and simple!
We cut our own shapes out of sponges and got to work!
So fun, so simple and the best tradition! You can see one box I saved from when we used the brown two years ago…:) Also, be sure to let your perfectionism go when it comes to this. They were insistent on a tree and a star so I had to be okay with green instead of just red and white. It’s the little things. 😉
Thanks, Mom!
And thanks, Krista and Michelle for the fun ideas!
