If you’ve been around for a little while, you know I love to have people over.
So when it came time to make spring wreaths a couple of years ago, we did just that. Combined our love of wreaths with hospitality and voila – the perfect ladies night!
So for this challenge, I combined what I learned two years ago with stuff I literally had around the house and came up with this wreath (of course, not without texting the resident wreath maker that led our little class!).
The DIY ladies night was so easy. My best friend and I went to Michael’s and gathered the supplies and bought the grapevine wreaths.
We let ladies pick out what they wanted to use that night (each girl contributed $10 to help cover the cost!) and Brandy guided them through the process.
Some wanted light and airy, some wanted more flowers and color.
.
It was fun and simple and everyone left with a beautiful wreath!
This was my wreath from that year:
And this is this year’s!
I used Brandy’s techniques for a light and airy feel and literally used greenery I had from last year’s spring mini-sessions!
After “stuffing” it in the middle of the wreath, I found a scrap piece of ribbon and some trim to keep it all together.
I wasn’t sure about the white trim but I loved the little texture it added. Is it too cheesy to say it reminded me of the fur on a rabbit?
I thought so.
Either way, I clearly had such a big helper while I played around with this. 🙂 Even if she did dance the whole time. 😉
So there you have it! A SIMPLE spring wreath made from stuff we had at home!
And today I’m super excited to be joined by an amazingly talented group of my blogging friends who are also sharing their DIY Spring Wreath tutorials!
