So here’s the deal.
Food blogger? Not even close.
Cook? Nope.
Do I make my family homemade meals? Never.
Would I like to? Yes.
Did I google how to take food photos? Yes.
So when Krista asked about the spring hop including recipes, I decided to make myself do SOMETHING.
Then, when we were walking last week, a friend mentioned this recipe her friend tried and LOVED it.
I didn’t want to copy the exact thing, because, duh, and I wanted to put an Easter spin on it.
So I grabbed yellow cake mix instead of brownie mix and added Easter M&Ms instead of chocolate chips.
And when I let my husband try it to make it sure it wasn’t terrible, he immediately said, “I’ve had this before!”
So yes, it’s probably out there somewhere in blogland, but this little dip was super easy and perfect for ANY kind of Easter party you may have on the calendar.
It’s so simple!
You mix a block of cream cheese.
Add in a thing of cool whip.
Mix in yellow cake mix and two Tablespoons of milk and finish with the M&Ms sprinkled in the mix.
I did crush half of my M&Ms and I liked the way it looked.
So easy, NO prep and took MAYBE five minutes!
I call that a win!
I had big plans of looking cute and having my kids “help me” for those perfect little blogging pictures but let’s be for real. I made this in yoga pants and a t-shirt while one kid had his shirt on backward, one had on a neon orange shirt and one has red juice stains on hers (not pictured, she was napping!). Where are THOSE kids on Insta?
Such is life around here!
Haha!
