I am so excited to be following Laura from The Turquoise Home! She is a fellow coach’s wife loves all things in the blue family so I cannot wait for you to check her blog out!
It has been a busy March already! What’s that saying about it comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb? I am soooo ready for warmer weather. Yesterday, we took a walk before bedtime and I wore shorts and it.felt.so.good and I felt like I could just exhale. Our winter has been cold and it has rained and rained and rained so anytime the sun comes out lately we are THRILLED!
One of those few sunny days was the day I took these pictures of our home just after a sweet baby left from her newborn session (that’s one post back if you want to see how gorgeous she is!).
I look forward to spring every single year but the more we adapt to our home, I don’t really decorate for the seasons. We keep things pretty simple around here so other than turning a pillow around that had an angel on it and adding some fresh flowers, things look about the same around here!
I found these square basket for $2 a couple of weeks ago at my favorite thrift store and I loved the little circle to keep a jar of flowers in. These tulips made me so happy! They’re one of my favorite signs of spring.
These two zebra chairs I mentioned before were thrifted years ago and I painted them white and had them recovered and I just recently added them back to our living room. The blue pillows were also a thrifted find and I love that they match and that the blue peeks over.
(And I may even still have my Christmas card pictures still up….I just can’t take them down!)
The kitchen is pretty much the same, too. I set these tulips out as I was getting some arrangements ready and I felt like a real blogger having them next to the sink…;)
And this little frame was a DIY YEARS ago but the picture is from Kuy’s first Easter and Kuy has his little head curled up on Russ’ shoulder.
This weekend we had our first ever women’s conference and it was such a beautiful event at our church! One of the workshops was about flower arranging and it was full of so much information and helpful tips! I wish I had had them before I took these pictures! It may have helped some of my flowers stay put!
Thank you, too, for all of your kind words Friday on our tablescape. Thursday was a hard day in our world of parenting and Friday morning I couldn’t seem to shake it. Then, the rest of the day Friday and most of Saturday were pretty full putting the final touches on the women’s conference so Sunday I took the day to rest and enjoy my family. It was so sweet to have the day together resting and playing outside and finishing the day with a walk. As the warmer weather approaches I am so anxious for these longer, lazier days of summer.
Be sure to head to Inspiration for Moms to see her gorgeous home!
And like I always say, thank you. I am so grateful for you and for your support as you walk this journey right alongside us.

I loved your simple spring tour, Amber. I’m all about keeping it simple too. A beautiful bouquet of tulips is all a room needs to welcome spring! 🙂
Just lovely. I loved this pretty spring tour of your beautiful home. Xoxo
Beautiful, Amber! I love how soft and airy it all is – all the white and the springy pastels are perfect! Gorgeous!
Your home is so beautiful Amber! So bright and light…I’m especially loving your kitchen space with all the open shelving. Lovely.
Your home is beautiful and fresh spring flowers are the perfect touch.
Thank you so much, Dannyelle!
So beautiful, Amber. I took a floral workshop a couple of years ago and it totally stepped up my flower game too! So much fun.
Hugs, Jamie
Thank you, Jamie!! So fun!!
