If you’re coming over from Sincerely Marie Designs, WELCOME! My name is Amber and I live in a small town in South Carolina with my husband and three kiddos! That are clearly out for summer!

Friends! We have made it to the middle of June already! Yesterday finally felt a little bit like summer because we had nowhere to be once my coach got home from practice and I had a few sessions uploading…ahh..it was SO nice!

We went to my in-laws pool and I fell asleep in the chair and it was, well, it was glorious if I’m honest.

BUT when we have days Iike that, I feel so much better when I leave the house somewhat clean and calm.

And in the summer, we pare down and clear the shelves. In my newsletter, I wrote I feel like we “clear the mechanism…” remember that movie!?! Still can’t remember the name of it…

It’s like The Nester says, I just feel like the house can breathe a little.

Very few pillows (then people feel welcome, too, like they can sit down!).

We switched out our coffee table with this trunk that was under our fireplace. But who am I kidding? The coffee table is now just sitting in between the living and dining rooms…haha!

One of my favorite things of early summer, though, is gardenias…the scent is just beautiful and so sweet and refreshing.

The downside is they don’t last very long. Sitting down in the evenings though is so nice when I catch the scent and it just makes me smile.

The garden is slowly coming along, although nothing has bloomed yet, it’s all growing so much!

We are also trying to be intentional this summer. Early mornings spent with Jesus, walks with friends, and time together without a million places to be. Russ, my husband coaches basketball, and June means basketball for him so July is hopefully going to be much slower PLUS we will get to meet our NIECE!

Anyway, now I’m just rambling. It’s been nice to meet you here today and just chat. Oh how I wish you could join me on these couches and we could snuggle under the blankets (separately, of course!) and just spill our guts. Russ was giving me a hard time today because we were trying to choose a new show to watch and I wanted a documentary. He said, “Hello my name is Amber and I only want to watch documentaries and I can’t have surface conversation.” Sad, but true. I like to dive in deep and I want to know all the things!

Sorry for the most random post about nothing today 🙂 Thanks for meeting us here, and be sure to head to Kim Power Style first thing in the morning! Thanks, again, Krista for hosting such a fun tour!
