Friends! I am so thankful you’re here. As you can tell, I have been slowly trying to share more sessions with you. I love love love sharing them so it has been fun to slowly make my way back into this space!
Today, I am honored to share my home with you among many other friends! Our home maintains a simple, coastal feel throughout the year. In fact, I had to back out from sharing our mantle with you because it is so simple! We have two candle sticks and picture frame at the moment! The same goes for other surfaces. I’m trying to maintain the minimalist look simply because it is so easy to MAINTAIN. There is not a ton of clutter to pick up and move when trying to wipe down surfaces, and ESPECIALLY now with everyone home, it has been nice to be able to use our surfaces as desks, etc.
So here it is!
Simple. Simple. Simple.
Touches of blue that we love. As you can tell, I threw a quick coat of a soft blue on my dining room and moved my rug from my bedroom. I love that it calms the space and this indoor/outdoor rug also from Orian is so easy to clean. I was so excited to share this little centerpiece with you but our kitten keeps throwing the dirt out!
We still love walking by this room and seeing how neat it stays. We still love the rug. So much so that it’s all I can do not to order three more just like it for all of the rooms downstairs! The blue on this wall is similar to the blue we painted our table!
Our kitchen has not changed much either. We have kept our simple mints and whites in here to accent our blues just enough. Our kitten struck again and knocked over my favorite cake stand so now I’m using this little box/tray to contain the soap, my new favorite counter spray and a plant. Plus, my new favorite little sprayer to water my two indoor plants! Haha!
These pillows have been on the floor so many times in the short three days we have been home together but that is again, why we try to keep it so simple. EASY to maintain!
How about you? How are you holding up through this pandemic? I have seen so many memes floating around yet simultaneously so much wisdom. This is such a time to hold those close to us, enjoy a slower pace and exhale. I had to cancel dance for a few weeks and it absolutely broke my heart. Sports are canceled, birthday parties and showers are canceled but my sister-in-law shared this with me yesterday morning and that is the perspective we are trying to keep, as well.
You are a gift, friend. We are so grateful for you.
